We had to find a new way to make the hundreds of photos taken that day available for review. Allowing cyclists to buy prints is a nice secondary use of our promotional photos. The Rotary Club of Cedar Hill got rave reviews at bicycle-stuff.com for their 2009 Head for the Hills Cedar Hill Bike Rally. For the third year in a row, we featured rest stops with Panera Bread Restaurant’s baked goods, Albertson’s cookies and bananas, Chick-fil-A sandwiches, therapists from Expressions Chiropractic to work out the kinks, and a fresh hamburger made on the spot by Red Robin Restaurant for all participants. The Cedar Hill Rotary Club organizes the event to benefit the Food Pantry, Library, Education Foundation and other charitable endeavors.

With the able help of the Southwest Dallas County Amateur Radio Club, over 170 volunteers stay connected – making this one of the safest bike events around. Professional photographer Scott Keith got some terrific pictures of the 2009 event.


Representatives from six local charities show off "big checks." Representatives from Bridges Safehouse, Brighter Tomorrows, Cedar Hill Education Foundation, Cedar Hill Food Pantry, Zula B. Wylie Library and T.R.O.T. are a few of the Head for the Hills Rotary Bike Rally donation recipients.
